Bonnie Tinker speaking in April at an event on the theme of same sex marriage organized by Americans for the Separation of Church and State. For about 10 minutes Bonnie relates her personal story concerning her struggles to attain marriage equality.
I worked with her for the last two years DJing for Seven Straight Nights at the Oregon State capital building.
I regret that I didn't get to know her better. I thought I'd have all the time in the world to do so but now I know better.
I am not gay but now more so than ever, I will stand up for the rights of all LGBT persons. Bonnie has been a major inspiration to me and she will be missed dearly.

R.I.P. Bonnie. I never met her, but I saw her and her partner and kids in various articles and on TV documentaries over the years.

Bonnie was a dear friend and incredible example of a civil rights leader. We should all take a lesson from her about working on equality. Lynn
