The waters around Vancouver Island, on Canada's west coast are home to a type of giant marine reptile which is believed to grow to forty feet in length has been given the name Cadborosaurus, after its favourite haunt, Cadboro Bay. The first recorded sighting of Caddy, as it is popularly known, was in 1897. Since then there have been 200 sightings of the creature, which reportedly has a horse-like head, needle thin teeth, a long scaly body and muscles that ripple when it swims. Dr Edward Bousfield, a former biologist has studied the mountain of reported sightings and speculates that the creature is a type of reptile left over from pre-historic times, feeding on fish, squid and sea birds, but without hard evidence the creature remains a mysterious unexplained monster.

  • why dont sciencetists just scan the lake with sound waves like they did at lock ness to get a positive answer? at least an ROV?

  • It costs money. So someone has to fund it.

  • Of all the paranormal phenomena that are reported by eyewitnesses, I have the most faith in these unknown sea creatures, since the ocean's are one of the most unexplored places on earth and many creatures thought to have been extinct for millions of yrs have been found alive in the 20th and 21st centuries. It's definitely plausible that something enormous could exist within these relatively large bodies of water and yet remain unknown and unclassified by science.

  • Up and down swimming motion and humps suggest a long and slender undocumented species of whale. I watched a show in '95 or '96 that descibed this type of animal seen in the southwestern Pacific around New Zealand. Whales swim with up and down motion. A reptile swims with side-to-side motion like a fish and would not create humps.

  • @thoostorm4, I see you have a biased idea about the video and flame people who post comments that you don't agree with, If you paid attention to the video and knew what you were talking about, You'd see that the scientist was talking about a prehistoric whale, not a snake. There's three things described here. The pilot likely saw some type of military mini-sub accelerating to 40 mph. The girl likely saw a family of otters. The other guy likely saw a couple of whales. You don't like? Flame on..

  • @JoeyDeBird pairof ottersmyass!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cape6000jkg howwouldan idiot u tuberknow how a seaserpent swims????????

  • "8 inches to 1 ft round" this sounds like it could be a pair of otters. The odd thing out is the fact that they were moving at 40mph. wtf? Maybe they miscalculated. Hell, I don't know. I mean, what would YOU make of an otter or seal going as fast as a car?!

  • ita a dick head monster

  • thats creepy

  • it should be the "monster quest - americas loch ness monster" episode where it was with the echo location

  • 1:12 this evil smile is saying "oh yeah, finally i got the two humps! but they belong to the neighbours daughter!" he he he horny old voyeur...

  • you obviously have no clue, so many animals have been and are still being found its pretty stupid to think that things like this dont exist in the un explored ocean.
