The video mentions that providing a copy of the home inspection is not required by insurance companies. This is not true, many companies DO require the report to accept the new business. In addition, many insurance companies ask for the report to provide a new purchase discount for the policyholder. Homebuyers should always cooperate with the requests of their chosen insurance agent as they are on their side.

I have never had an insurance company ask for a home inspection report and on this particular file the insurance company did NOT ask either...the home buyer just sent it on her own.
I have no idea why you think this is required by an insurance company since over all the years in real estate this has never been required or asked for by any insurance company.
