@RadiationProtection1 ok thanks i watched your other video on how to Cut Down On Exposure To Computer Radiation.. it was helpful thanks

@TheHessse Sorry for the delay, somehow I missed your question before. Laptops vs desktops both have their pros and cons. I prefer a desktop because you can put plenty of distance between yourself and the cpu. If you use a laptop better to use it on the battery, there is less magnetic radiation. "Is plastic or aluminum better?" different PCs can give off vastly different levels of radiation - you can check this with an emf meter. A harapad is a good way to reduce laptop radiation.

thanks most informative.

Yes, as my tests show magnetic radiation is lower when the laptop is running on the battery as opposed to the mains power supply. As to exactly how much worse, at what distance its difficult to say. The important thing to understand is that you can significantly reduce your exposure to emfs by using your laptop on the battery.
Are electric blankets as bad as "they" say?
MsBrynn30 3 months ago
@MsBrynn30 The rule of thumb with all forms of radiation is; the further you're from the source, the lower your exposure. An electric blanket emits radiation very close to the body: it penetrates deep into the body. It also radiates your whole body, unlike cell phones and other devices. If you really can’t live without your electric blanket, warm your bed and then unplug it before you get into bed. Don’t leave it plugged in while you sleep, even if it is turned off it will still emit radiation.

i work on laptops about 9 hours a day i been starting to get headaches about 4ish, do you think this is why?
IDMWEIGHTSIDM 4 months ago
@IDMWEIGHTSIDM Whether the EMFs are the cause of your headaches or not is very difficult to determine. The first question that springs to mind is have you had your eyes tested recently?
But the fact is you are exposing yourself to EMFs, which long term, have the potential to harm. There are things you can do to reduce this exposure… google “Tips To Cut Down On Exposure To Computer Radiation”.

Dell makes the worst computers but their XPS model laptops in particular have radiation levels 10, 50, maybe 100 times higher than their "budget" laptops. I used the laptop you used in this demo and you could tell it was bad before even measuring it. If you buy a laptop, then buy a laptop with real battery life, don't buy a "desktop alternative" like this. If you run laptops on batteries, often they get slower. And remember that laptop power-supplies are the highest source of radiation.

@TossTheTV I have done the same test on a Macbook Pro (not a budget laptop). The electrical fields are lower than for the Dell but the magnetic fields are still high particularly from the keyboard. The power unit on the Macbook Pro gives off both magnetic and electrical radiation.
