on april 11th, truck 46 was dispatched as mutual aid to a working structure fire in an apartment complex in Hershey, Pa. Crews worked together as one team and extinguished the fire as quickly as possible. A trench cut was made by the truck 46 crew and fire supression coming from engine 48 with their deck gun and hand lines as they were the first in engine. Hershey's truck 48 went in service at the rear and supressed the fire from above with their arial. Great job to everyone!!! No injuries and everything went according to plan!!!! Great job!!! • Can I ask why he had his regulator in and breathing off the bottle while still in the truck?

  • @MrRyannHD....WELLLLLLL.....if you look REALLLY close.... we have the MSA's with masks where the regulator slides down a channel THEN pops/locks in...we can leave it hang off our masks with out using air... soooo look close...his is just hanging there.... NOT breathing air...he's ready to go... when we arrive... he can turn his cylinder on and just pop/lock it in THEN he'll be breathing air....no shame in being ready before you arrive at the scene!!!

  • great job guys! you guys couldnt have been more calm, that fire was working pretty good. Also, good to see you had a full crew! that always helps! Only thing i noticed was that it seemed to take a little while to get your first line in service? other than that good work

  • @ob321 ... well engine 48 was there minutes before our truck...and they already laid 5 inch (not yet charged) and they waited for us (truck 46) to get over the 5 inch so they could charge it... they decided to start using the tank for the deck gun to knock some down till they charged the 5 inch... then they drug a hand line over to the one aptmt to check for extension... thank god for fire walls!!

  • awesome video.. great job on the knockdown

The incident commander.. i like him that he is positive and tells you good job when it was

  • @Kopihucky.... thank you...alls it takes is pushing the record button and go to work on the fireground.....Command I believe was a newer Leut. and he did a great job, OPPS was who you heard primarily talkin throughout the video, that was Chief 48, he knows his stuff, his criticism is always positive to keep everyone safe, and I dont think I've ever heard him say something negative, or have anyone take anything he says in a negative way. He's a good chief. Nothing bad to say about him

  • Thats why i like deck guns. You can really knock down a fire quick but you can also run out of water just as quick. Good job on command for keeping their cool i like how the O.I.C kept saying good job to everyone, who every he was he knew how to do his job. Great video and stay safe out there my fellow brothers.

  • AWESOME VID!!

  • hell yea Higgins this one was wild. Well once again this is proof that the box you built to hold your camera in the rig is an awesome success

  • That deck gun knocked it down quick!!
