Test that with a metronome, and it's close to perfect. It's the creativity, and adventurous aspect that many people don't like / can't handle. It's like when that airplane landed in deep Africa in the 1930's. There was a syncopation of the 4 engines giving a great complex rhythm that the natives understood immediately, and started dancing to. The white guys had no clue what was going on.

I am still puzzled as to how anyone in this otherwise competent band thought for even a fraction of a second that this was music, let alone good enough music to put on one of their records. Even verge-of-death level drug use doesn't excuse this.
