George Clooney: Endgame in Sudan

As the people of Southern Sudan held a vote for independence, millions of civilians were in the potential path of war. George Clooney and the Enough Project spent time in Sudan along the border between the north and south and saw what a return to war could look like. This video from the trip highlights the challenges Sudan faces, in the wake of the referendum, to avoid a return to civil war. War is not inevitable -- we can stop this war before it starts. George Clooney is doing a remarkable helping the Sudanese civilians, I remember him appearing on Larry King Live and discussed about the Stop Sudan Action Now, sending news everywhere. But the problem is, after Black Hawk Down nobody wants to go to Africa to help.

goerge clooney will cause the war by taking sides.......he is taking the south's side and pressuring the north, that will backfire and the blood will be on his hands.

@hypnyxx im sudanese i awlays wondering that too but i know now. most dont want to come back to help because they have a bad view of africa and most dont even want anything to do with africa.

not sure what the normal people can do to help but it is clear that somthing must happen. we should never forget the power of people if they stand as one there must be something we can do to help its is so wrong that any body should live like this

This is of course a righteous cause, but what exactly does George expect us to do? I can't afford a ticket to go over there myself. We're not him. I wish we could do more, but what would that be? Not sure.
