  • I wish more people would listen to this stuff. Everyone is against free market capitalism, blaming it on all our economic woes when they don't see how govt intervention is the REAL problem!

  • Thanks for posting this. I love stossel

  • When did the check from the Koch's arrive John?

  • @AroundSun i've been sayin' the same thing for awhile now. ashame that theres too many closed mined people out there.

  • @smartbomb33

People do fall behind, but to help them hinders everyone. Nurturing the successful rather than the unsuccessful eventually brings up the society as a whole and so consequently helps the stragglers less than direct benefits would.

  • Please stop confusing great economic policies with a lack of genocide intervention. America can afford to fight dictators and prosper with some prudent economic policies. Remember a major war won't help anyone, so its best to topple these regimes early.

  • Him and Ron Paul for 2012 LOL....Stop the war, open up the markets, end the fed, limit government, stop defecit spending, protect OUR COUNTRY. Are these things really that hard?

  • The problem with an ultra-capitalistic society, is that it's devastating to the people that lose the game of capitalism. It's devastating to people that can't keep up with the strong, and let's face it, not everyone born will be strong.

As a society, would it be humane to completely forget the people that lose?

When it comes to personal liberties I'm libertarian, but I'm not entirely sure if my libertarianism completely expands economically.

    Still gotta think about it.

  • "The regulation doesn't work."

    ...

So when Ford decided that it was cheaper to not recall the Pinto's, to let children get killed in them because it was cheaper to settle in court, that's fine with Stossel? You don't think it's acceptable to regulate that?

If a corporation decides to dump a shitload of toxic sludge in a river that you later get cancer from, that's fine with you? No regulation needed?

Either words have meaning or they don't. What's "no regulation"?

  • great
