Until tonight I was only familiar with the Clancy Brothers version of this song. Their version had the first verse fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth verses with a slightly different chorus. That was what I had intended to upload, however when I came across this fuller version, I decided to give it a try. That proved to be very difficult as I was not familiar with the extra verses and the chorus I kept slipping into the other version. However after about four hours or so and umpteen tries, here it is.
Willie Brennan was a highwayman in Ireland equally as notorious as Dick Turpin in England. This is his story.
