I would surmise that today's Charmin ads with the bear family are a reference to the old joke about "does a bear shit in the woods?" Yes they do, and apparently they use Charmin.

I had no intention of saying anything bad about Mr. Whipple. He was a very good actor and I love watching him in Bewitched. He lived to be 91! My intent was to let people know about Procter & Gamble
