@Citrangish you can use the sheath of skin pulled off of the leg of a cadaver if it's been properly brined for two weeks. Bone can be surprisingly sharp if splintered correctly, and hair can be an ad hoc thread. just remember to save some hair for the puppet's head!

Sewing will only rip the craft foam. I would highly advise against using a needle and thread for this step. Try hot clue or even rubber cement.
