"MREs" or Meals-Ready-to-Eat have come a long way in recent years. Soldiers are invited to give their feedback, and as a result the food has improved. Bosslift participants were served the meals and no two were the same. Options ranged from vegetable manicotti to jambalaya to egg and cheese omelets. MREs are self-contained and even contain a heating unit to warm the food and sometimes a beverage.
