A virtual version of Simmons SDSV, for poor guys like me who don' have the original one.
It's a preliminary test, some parameters probably don't behave like they should, but it's work on progress...

  • Say Man, Let us know when you get this things of the ground cause I'm SOLD on this one, Man. I just wanna know, I have the old SDS V Black Pads...would there be way one could run the XLR cables from the pad to MIDI to USB on a PC to use this? Or do we have to use the USB MPC style Pads?

  • Sincerely, I don't know about XLR converter, however I think there should be something on the market suitable for you. In anyway, I didn't implemented yet midi, but once done, you can use it with any midi pad.

  • Hi! where i can get this?? thanks

  • I made it (thanks to the power and flexibility of Reaktor), however, it' not yet ready to work as it should. Midi still has to be fitted, and sounds are not perfect (and probably won't ever be). In anyway, when it will be acceptable, I'll be happy to share it.

  • Are you linking the filter decay with the bend control? It's pot R25 on the inside of the module. Also, each module does have resonance, pot R27 inside the module.

  • Actually filter decay is not linked to bend, it was a useful information, thanks for this (is it applied on filter envelope?). Regarding resonance, I applied a 4 pole filter for snare and 1 pole filter (no resonance) to toms. By the way, are you a owner of SDSV? In case, you could give other precious informations on how it works.

  • Would love to use this as is! sounds great!

  • I would LOVE to be able to get my hands on this.

  • Oh, c'mon... all show no share??

  • ADD LFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

  • Great demo.

Are you going to share this Reaktor ens, or sell it?

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Fantastic! I WANT!

  • That demonstration is outstanding! Sure, it's virtual. But, it also shedssome light into how analog drum sounds were synthasized and built for the old Roland beatboxes and the original Simmons drum sets. If ever this virtual kit gets off the ground, I'm sure it'd be a biggie.

  • @exkeyboardplaya504 you need a trigger to midi module that is compatible with your triggers. if you can do some research and see what other yamaha or roland products were compatible at the time that will give you a clue as to what is available today new that will work as a trigger to midi. also you might have to make your own cables or buy cables cause most trigger to midi use 1/4 in TS or 1/4 TRS. then its just a $40 midisport uno to do midi to usb. midi cable included.

  • Great ! When will it be available ?

  • @chrisbern75 : it would be great if u share your reason project so we can enjoy playing "Vitrual SDS 5" :)
