@macdonald261 Just got teary-eyed about my cousin Marie - she was so sweet to me I just passed away a few years ago. She had a heart full of love as was meant for all of us. & just realized I've repeated my self from prior comment, but Marie was that special! This song played in her memorial video. This orchestration just struck me differently as I realized it's a fairly unique blend of Foxtrot & Big Band. The bass line is pure foxtrot. Come take a step back into the past at my place! chuck

back in 43 steve race gave me 78 of marie, at the time saying it was one of the best otchestrations for big band there was. i still agree

Bunny Berigan's trumpet solo is outstanding! He died too soon at 32 years and his rendition of "I can't Get Started" (singing and trumpet) are classic! RIP Bunny.

This video made me cry, it was used at my 91 year old cousin's funeral on the video tribute of her life. She was one of the dearest ladies ever alive & loved & welcomed everyone just as they were. Boy the world is poorer for her not being here anymore!

I've just learned how to create PLAYLISTS w/ Real Player. This will be great when I D.J. my 85yo mother's next ; Sunday afternoon "Tea Dance" , for her and her friends. I've been spinning 78's for them. Now I'll have more time to work on the catering end of that party.
