@convener777 Well i might find it hard too, in front of 1000s of people :-) Ok he might say that, but in the meantime he absolutely does the opposite in public. Even if it isn't him on twitter (though im sure) you can't leave the books out. Even in survival skill books which aren't faithbased at all, he talks about Jesus Christ being the source of his survival fire. Autobiography Mud, Sweat and Tears: 'Christ comes to make us free, to bring us life in all its fullness.' And i could go on and on.

@convener777 Hi, yes i agree we must not be quiet about our faith. But he really isn't, his books are full with complete testimonies, for example Living Wild, which is a free webbook, just google it. On page 248 he starts talking about what the christian faith is about. In fact that chapter is the whole gospel in a nutshell. At the end he even does an invitation to become a follower of christ: '....say a simple prayer in your head and ask for Jesus to come into your life."

@anjadenhartog. You're right about one thing, don't judge, I shouldn't have judged. But, your wrong about the other things. The bible talks about don't be afraid to share your faith, if you deny the existence of God, God will deny you in heaven. "Quiet faith" if God has been real to you all your life, why say that. Plus, no one knows if that's really him putting things on twitter, it could be his publicist. I think Bear Grylls many not be the right person to promote as ambassadors for Christ.

@convener777 I'd suggest you to read his books, then you won't call him lower level anymore. Don't judge someone before you've seen the whole picture. He's actually a very devout christian. Quote: "Jesus came to seek and to save us - let Him do his job!" Although he says 'quiet faith', his testimony is not quiet. For example read all the bible verses he puts on Twitter and FB regularly. Plus the Alpha Course campaign, and the many interviews in which he mentions his faith. Respect for him.

Bear can believe in what he wants, it is the right that comes with living in a free country. Bear gives me hope for humanity :)

@happysinger death cult?
you think christianity's a cult?
-
@anandven Hmmmm irrelevant...if you don't like them, don't go...no need to whinge about it.
-
I remember a man telling me God will grant your every wish, good or bad, so,long as you have faith, amen.
@covener777 I don't think so...some people aren't as expressive of their faith, not that this is good or bad, but I do think he is serious about his faith. It was so cool on last night's episode he said to all viewer's that his Christian faith helps him to know that he is never alone, even in the middle of the wild :) sometimes people who appear at a "high level" of faith are the Sunday Christians, only passionate at church. We can't really judge....
