This is my week 19 post-op update. I still have the PICC line in and can't exercise, but had a loss. I also had my first "wow" moment. I talk a bit about upping my caloric intake and protein.

  • omg I cried when I watched your video this time when you were talking about how big you were, cuz thats where I am now... I know exactly what your talking about and ugh I wish I could find some good sites to get jeans on in m size, and I hate that game too... i just.. Im so happy for you i wish I could give you a hug! its true though, plus size stores do have a max, and its saddening. I love you.

  • I am glad the video touched you. I know how I felt when I couldn't go to the "big girl" stores anymore. I went into a bit of a depression, which of course packed on more pounds! If you would like, email me and I can send you my jeans and/or let you know where I would shop. I was particular about NOT having the stereotypical "elastic waist" fat girl jeans, so I actually don't own any that don't have a "real" waist with a button and zipper. You'll get there and I am here cheering for you!! *hugs*

  • keep focusing on the positive.... We'll get there together! Take care Angela xxxx

  • Thanks! I do try to keep reminding myself what a gift this is and I need to be thankful for the blessing of it regardless of the little rocks on the path!

  • I am so going to get some today! I wasn't in that part of town (we're on Spring Break, so I don't need to go on-campus), but I need to make a special trip!! Oh, I nixed the grill pan because they wanted $50 for one! I got myself a clearance wok instead ($15) and some silpats ($20 each). That ate my Bed Bath & Beyond budget for a while. :(

  • Thanks! I can't wait to get some cheap clothes and look good in them. I just need to get some more weight off before I know I will find sizes in the thrift stores. I am in-between my sizes (old clothes and "saved" clothes) and it's driving me crazy! I will be OK for a while with the "saved" clothes through the summer, but there *hopefully* will be issues once the fall rolls around and I can get some new duds for the new school year! Thanks!

  • Just wait until you can do it at the thrift store too! How much we value the little things! Congrats!

  • okay now you have me drooling thinking of brisket! lol I'm gonna have to get some now!

  • I am lucky about the infection. I thought it was a bruise and my mom thought it looked weird. Well, when it got bigger, red, and hurt, it was off to the ER with me and the rest is history!

I know what you mean about lipstick. I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Anglo-mutt, so I tan easily, have a green undertone, but am pale in the winter, which sucks when trying to get make-up! It's Winedrop long-lasting by Almay. You can get it anywhere and really does stay on your lips and doesn't wipe off.

  • I consider a "regular" size to be anything below size 14. These are sizes you can't get in plus size stores and are in the regular sections of the Walmart, Target, etc. I do feel better and thanks for the compliment! You'll be there with me in the "regular plus sizes" soon!!
