Me, too! Someone else had mentioned that they would have liked to have seen Desslok's soul on the Yamato's bridge. I agree! Given his change of heart, I think it would have been very appropriate.

I agree. I would have liked to have seen Zordar scream in terror just before the Yamato hit him.

The thing I hate about this ending isn't the fact that it's tragic - in fact, I quite liked that.
No, the thing I hate about it is that it's so damned *unsatisfying*. We never see Zordar again after he taunts the heroes one more time. We never see him actually getting his comeuppance. In fact, what the hell was he doing this whole time? The whole scene builds up to absolutely nothing - it's all only implied!

Thank you for uploading it. I saw this movie when it came out in japan. I was 10 back then.
I really liked it but I remember my father looked little disturbed. Now, I understand why. It reminded him WWII kamikaze tokkiutai....

@tktcb999 but venture is saluting them next to homer on the medical ship so there should be no venture ghost. peace!

@vlunney it is wedding celemony at final moments

@ErikRuggeri id be having yamato flashbacks to this day had we not gotten the american version.
Even in western culture self-sacrifice exists, in Star Trek TBG there came a time when the Enterprise almost sacrificed itself for the sale of others.
In Yamato they changed the story so the saga would continue.
