Variety, the organiser, says: "The first EVER Variety Santa Fun Run was a resounding success with just over 1,600 Santas taking to the streets of Sydney in spectacular fashion. George Street was completely shut down as we painted the city in a sea of red and white and people from all ages, abilities and backgrounds took part. International and national media covered the festive event and the city of Sydney looked sensational!
