It's listed on comicvine that he has own sense of twisted morals believing himself to be the true Superman.
Add in mainly the Green Goblin, Joker, Loki, Mephisto. None of these nefarious abject bastards are going to give you a fair deal, and they will take any advantage to gain a advantage over you.

He's a super villain although in his eyes he isn't. Super Villains rarely ever play fair that's the point of them super heroes will try to take the high ground while super villains will use any dirty trick because their lack of a concience, and a code of honor make it easy.

No, the one in the leather was the one in the black T-shirt, he just changed his hair and outfit. The one with the "Space Suit" was Superboy Prime, and he killed the first one. Of course, there's also the pocket universe Superboy, who was killed by General Zod, but let's not get into that, it's too complex.
