    Yes, you'll need to purchase a brand new lid switch.

  • So thankful for this simply done video! I had purchased the lid switch at a local appliance repair shop and was laughed at when I told him I wanted to do this repair myself!  After watching the video, I was able to do this myself - in about less than 20 minutes - NO MAN NEEDED! Girls gone wild! Thanks again!

  • THANK YOU!!!! I followed your directions and found that the housing on the lid switch separated. All I had to do was glue it back together, reassemble and voila...it works!
