  • @noobland1997 we were forced to learn english, german and french.

  • I'm from germany and I think learning france is different. But learning german also.

  • @lexitime2shine I have a very similar case in my language (brazilian portuguese). "On" is exactly the same as "nous", the only difference is the way you conjugate (On =3rd singular) and (Nous=1st plural). "Nous" is formal and "on" isn't.

  • @lexitime2shine Hmmm, you've taken 2 years of french. This teacher is clearly french-born, and even if he was not, your French experience is pitiable in comparison. "On" literally means "one" but the French use "On" to mean "nous" or "we" in English. Pour example, "on y va" means literally "one goes there" or "one is going there". However, this expression is interpreted as "let's go" or "we go". Despite its meaning, "on" is used in place of "nous". I can not tell you why; this is simply French.

  • Okay, I've taken two years of French.

on, goes under il/elle/on.. it doesn't mean we, in most cases.

Please use nous when trying to say"we".

My French teacher is actually from France so please trust my advice when trying to learn a new language LEARN IT FROM A REAL PERSON!.

watching the way they speak is critical for correct pronounceable words.

  • @noobland1997 I thought it was an elective, I chose it I wasn't forced to take it but I was forced though to take english when I was in jr high in Mexico.
