This is DEFINENTLY NOT Tinikling...I happen to be learning it at the moment and I don't do this. This is a muslim dance (I don't mean that in a bad way...it's just the type of music and the way she moves that gives it away)

@Heujjinhyu Finally! Why does everyone believe the stereotype that this is muslim? It's fucking insulting... Personaly though, I think the music they use with singkil is better than the ones they use with tinikling :P I wonder if they originally played the music of tinikling with the bamboo flute.

@schnazzypinay14 this is not a MUSLIM dance! theres a great difference of religious dance and ethnic dance. even non-muslim filipinos dance this. (thou this dance s performed mostly by muslim filipinos)

@knightslucky Dude, thats a generalization, wag mong kasama ang relihyon sa kultura, hindi dapat ganun, mas separate yun. Just because it's not christian doesn't mean it's muslim either... However, pwede na magcreate ang ka singkil christian dance. Our traditions are not muslim, only 1/10 of us is muslim dude, the rest are of royalty and mighty empires, and Ka Singkil is only called muslim out of prejudice, which makes me sad :( it's oriental/hindu dude!!!

@knightslucky Singkil isn't muslim, there may have been some singkil dances created with a little muslim influence, however overall it isn't muslim.

Singkil is a Muslim Dance it's like Tinikling but Singkil is a Traditional Dance of a Princes Muslim in Mindanao,, And Tinikling is a Folk dance base on Tikling a Bird and in Old Philippines they use Bamboo Trap to Catch Tikling,, and Tinikling Dance During Feast or Christian Celebration or School Program as a Folk Dance... Sorry for my English...
