im an 18 year old kid and i played with him yesterday at my country club :) he doesnt pick it out of the hole, the one catch was that we had to get the ball out of the hole after each made putt. he was amazing!

@NikeGolf35 I've seen a putter with a cup like thing on the handle to pick the ball out. and yes this is very inspirational.
