My mom bought a Singer Golden Touch & Sew 750 when they came out. I think it was there top-of-the-line model in 1970. She used the machine weekly for mending or making curtains etc. Now some people complain that these later models with nylon gears are trash. Don't you believe it. Mom never had a problem with the auto bobbin winder or with the timing etc. She took good care of it herself and had it tuned up every few years. I have it now and it's my only machine! Vintage Singers Rule!
