Selected clips from the classic 1963 movie "Visitor to Ice Mountain", or 冰山上的来客 in Chinese. The movie is notable for it's depiction of life in Xinjiang in the early 1950s, only a few years after the Chinese PLA army marched in. Most of the local characters are Tajik, with a few Kazakhs, Kyrgyzs, and Uyghurs thrown in for kicks. Visit china.notspecial.org for more information on (and photos of) Xinjiang.

  • UYGURLARI TACİKLERLE BERABER KAZAKLARDA ORTAK OLARAK ÇİNE TESLİM EDİLDİ HAİNALER ÇİNİN HİLESİ ÇİN BİR GÜN BU TOPRAKLARDAN ÇIKMAK ZORUNDA YAŞASIN UYGUR MÜSTAKİL DOĞU TÜRKİSTAN

  • The actress' name is 谷毓英 (Gu Yu Ying). She now lives Australia

  • @CarlZha

Stupid asshole! If you know speak other wise shut your dirty mouse up!

The woman is Uyghur ,and i know her well because she is brothers mum in law!

She is not half cockroach half Russion as you said!

  • @CarlZha That's what Hmong people do too. If our dad is Hmong, Black, or White, we are consider that ethnic on our dad's side. We cannot say I'm mix because my mom is dutch and my dad is Hmong. I'm going to be label as a Hmong kid since my father is Hmong. That's just an example.

I guess to me I'm still old fashion, I pick the father side. Now days kids don't know what they are anymore. They'll say my dad is half dutch and half this and that, my mom is half chinese, indian, and etc.

  • The woman (the fake bride who appear in this clip) actress is neither Tajik nor Uighur. She is register as Han Chinese in her ID papers even though she is actually half Chinese half Russian (Old Chinese way of ethnic identity is to identify your ethnicity by your father,i.e. if your Dad is Han Chinese, you are counted as Han Chinese even if your Mom is Finnish or Ethiopian). Amir's real lost love (who doesn't appear in this clip) is portrayed by a 16 year old Uighur student.

  • FYI, I just did a quick background research on the film. Most of the main actors portraying Tajiks are actually Uighurs because the director couldn't find so many Tajik actors in China during that time. The actor portraying Amir, for example, is a Uighur volleyball player.

  • 看部電影都有那么多雜雞亂鳥亂叫~

  • yes they are Tajils but who said that they are fucking chinese ?
