4:43 look at the cheek of the old guys you can see that there is a guy with a sombrero playing a guitar and on the left side there is a guy wearing a sombrero too :)

It's not light refraction, it's how your mind and eyes work... well, I guess light would take part with that too.

hmmm,..
probably but in real life like the spoon and water is because of the refraction (bending) of light as it passes from air into water causes an optical illusion: objects in the water appear broken or bent at the waters surface.
the explantaion is because water have more compact molecules than air which causes the light to bend
