An RAF Lighning jet fighter disappears when approacjing a UFO. Pilot was never found after leaving RAF Binbrook in 1970.

Binbrook 74 my great great uncal was stationed there in 43 he flew 7 missions before he and the crew were shot down they are buried in belgim

So many stories of this accident around .
Did speak to the pilots son once many years ago.
Such a shame they demolished the tower back in 95.
Have vivid memories of the inside but plenty of pics of the outside.
Would love to hear from anyone who was based at Raf Binbrook or in the tower.

This incident seems to coincide with a sighting that my dad had in 1970,it was also seen and pursued by two police officers in the merseyside area.The description of the ufo seems to match so does the year and the month,not to sure about the date.I have often wondered if my dads sighting was linked to this incident.
