made for my nixie clock.it is a lot more precise than using the mains frequency as a time base.

  • unfortunately, i don't have an oscioscope yet. i hope i'll buy one soon. what i can say about this oscilator is that it's very very sensitive. i broke my oscilator twice while working on my nixie clock.maybe i made some mistakes on the dividers..i'm only 14 and not all of my kits work at the first time i turn them on. i'm still working on my nixie clock...

    p.s : at startup, it starts working after a few seconds, before that, the output is low .

  • The mains here are fairly accurate, because of the switching stations and phase synchronizations.

  • Hey!!! Great stuff! I just dissasembled a broken quartz watch but I'm still not sure what to do with the oscilator. Does the oscilator return a sine wave or block when power goes through it? It would be so much easier with an osciloscope. I'll try to sneak it into class and measure what's happening but I'd be great if you could help.
