On our walk home for the subway on December 26th 2010, we came across 3 MTA buses and a Peter Pan bus stalled out on Manhattan Ave at 106th Street.

  • I work for the mta and was driving the brand new 4000's series and I was stuck for over 19 hours. We cannot abandon our buses unless it's a safety issue so if your stuck you stay until you get a relief. A relief was on it's way to me when I got free but I didn't wait I just took off to the depot.

  • what do they do when they get stuck like that? i mean, do they pick up the drivers or the drivers stay with the units they are assigned to? Here in san juan since it floods a lot( no snow) They just go through the water or Stop and wait if they are newbies... Nice vid ( miss snow so damn much havent seen it since i was 11 when i was dragged out pr 15 yrs ago)
