I had my iPhone replaced through Apple Care because it had some hardware and software issues, and the replacement I got has a bubble molded into the plastic back. It's driving me nuts.

  • It's actually a bubble molded into the plastic. It was that way brand new out of the box. Apple refused to replace it, and it's not a huge deal, but it's just disappointing to have a new toy have an aesthetic flaw when it's brand new.

  • What exactly am I looking at?

  • I had the same issue with my original iphone 3g. I actually had 2. It is an impurity in the material used in the back casing that can develop because of the thermal expansion properties are different than the rest of the case. The back of the iphone is a special kind of plastic. I have posted a video that shows you how to get a brand new replacement free from applcare instread of a refurb. • is it just a scuff?
