The squealer horn is better than the piezo because it's more reliable to wake up a child and chirps at a more tolerable tone when the battery is low.

okay thanks. also at my sound wasn't working well. it is now. I see the difference as well now although the square in the centre of the 0933 somewhat does resemble a test button. I seemed that most 1970's alarms had to be tested with smoke.

The 0938 has a test button. The 0933 doesn't. You had to use smoke to test it.

Whats the difference in the alarms? They both look the same. What year is this alarm from?
