The best and easiest (and most precise) way IMHO to do it is this.

Take a piece of string and hold it between your thumb and index finger at both ends. Hold the string up under your chin and against your neck, Lower your chin and put slight upward pressure on the string. Now lift your chin and shave everything below the string. That is the exact point where your jaw meets your neck and where your beard should end.

I've never heard this method used before, but I've always done it this way.

@mustache9000 When I have to do beard reshaping becuase the neckline is too high I just let the bottom grow out intil I can create a new line where I want it and then use my beard trimmer to fade it in with the longer portion of the existing hair. Or you can go to a barber and have them blend it for you if you don't want to do it yourself. Hope this helps...
