Title says it all. I love how this one went, what an effective transcription I've studied the art of transcription a lot in many different formats and this one is right at the top. Liszt would've loved this one (maybe not my playing) but the treatment itself. This gives you so much "bang for your buck" as in you don't have to be a world class virtuoso to play it for great effect.

  • your classical piano is amazing. your neo classical guitar is great. how is your classical guitar? do you do any hevey fingerstyle?

  • @almaster0 I know some players have achieved some incredible things with the classical guitar but for me (JUST ME) the piano obviates the need for nylon-string virtuosity.

Thank you very much for the kind words.

  • great Marshall! I didn't know you were that good at playing the piano. :)

  • @HjalmarGuitarMaster thank you. wish I could play this piece like I used to...

  • @GuitarFriend Dang...I didn't know that my favorites were publicly available. Guilty as charged lol I admit it, I like extremely curvy females and extremely curvy sonic SURFACES (whatever that means) !! LOL

  • @GuitarFriend haha

  • @thiagorisingforce

    no she's not

Volodos is playing it the best . by the way: he whrote it

  • Yuja Wang is the best playing this piece

  • All I meant was, they all seem to like maths.

A lot of people don't like maths.

  • Nice to see some more videos of your piano playing, Marshall. This looks like such a fun (and challenging) piece to play.

  • To the best of my knowledge, neither Holdsworth nor Lane have expressed anything more than a rudimentary understanding of some arguably low level mathematical concepts. I enjoy both of them for their music, but I think it's a stretch to say they have/had a "true understanding of mathematics."

    Nonetheless.. great playing, Marshall!

  • Damn!!!

    Insane playing, man!

    You're really good!
