  • However, that doesn't take away from criticism. That said, he is fresh talent and I would like to hear more from him.

  • Of course I listened to YR first. To compare the two is fairly ridiculous.

    The point of concert singing is not to show how modest you can be. Either sing or don't. There was a part where I could barely hear him even with significant amplification. I do not mean to say that UB is bad or hasn't any potential. I agree that time will tell. But for now, it is obvious that he's a 'rookie'. I absolutely hope that he sticks with the art and improves. I am sure that he was nervous too.

  • He sings much too softly and swallows his words. He needs to open his mouth to clearly articulate and project to his audience.

    Blumenberg was fortunate to have Gildar accompanying on the piano - as he changed tempo frequently.
