Let me help with the mileage issue. I own a 1965 falcon. It has a three-speed auto transmission and a 1 barrel carburetor. Falcons had 3 engine options: 1 eight cylinder and two sixes (200 and 170 cubic inch). I own the 170 cubic inch engine (rated at 105 hp). It has nice torque for a six, despite the low hp. I get about 18-20 mpg around town, and it gets about 22 or so on the highway. A friend has a 2004 car with a 6 an gets about the same! Big Oil makes sure it remains that way.

Ther first Ford Mustang was based on the Falcon. It used a lot of components (engine, transmission, suspension, instrument panel, etc.) from the Falcon.

My father was an exe for Ford. We owned a 1964 Falcon Sprint Two door hardtop, 260 with four speed and chrome engine dress up kit. Very neat, nicely styled car.

The voice for Linus sounded like the voice for Sally in A Charlie Brown Christmas.

bill hicks once said that artists who do commercials are off the artistic roll call forever. i think charles schulz is the lone exception.

@tamspeci in the 1961 version, he says it can get 30 miles for one gallon.... !
-
@Karen12777 about 20 miles per gallon unless you got one with a large
engine. I bought a 1964 Ford Falcon new. Nice car.
Charlie Brown says the car saves on gas. I didn't know they were concerned about saving gas in 1964.
