1941 SMOLENSK - A German Victory

Eastern Front, 1941. Nearly all of the city of Smolensk was destroyed during the battle. It would take the Germans another 10 days to liquidate the pocket. In the end, although 300,000 Soviet soldiers were captured, more than 200,000 would break out to stand between the Germans and Moscow.
