The best charcoal retort kiln in the world?

This is a charcoal retort / kiln I have invented has been designed to be environmentally friendly by burning the smoke it produces to help heat the retort. It also has been designed so that it produces maximum quantity of charcoal using a minimum amount of fuel.

what is the point of making charcoal??

Hi

There are two main reasons you make charcoal firstly charcoal burns at a higher temperature and more cleanly than wood. You can use it for cooking on or a blacksmith can use it to forge steel. When using it for cooking it is better for peoples heath as there is no smoke produced when using it. Secondly it can be crushed to make biochar. Biochar is used a soil improver as it retains water and nutrients, so when growing crops you can get a higher yield. Hope this is of help

this is a pretty damn good retort kiln. I can see someone hooking up some more pipe to that and making a stove or something with it. Use some of that energy up.
