ok, just one more comment, and i shall head into the sunset...this was going so great.....until ya get to 10:10.. that's when the stupid bitch from hell ruins the whole thing...reminds me of my aunt who gave me enimas, and said " it's for the best"...how to ruin a great live performance..
sorry to say that i left a comment on one of the other studio tubular bells.. i said that i wished he didn't play all of the instruments, cause he needed a guitar player...after watching this, i swallow my words, and hope my apology is accepted.....must learn to keep my big mouth SHUT.....
What I really love is that there are a load of different live version, some more rock based than others, some are down right dirty, where others are faithful to the studio release. I prefer the live grungy ones :)
I haven't listened to Tubular Bells since the mid 1970s (I think the album came out in '73). Just recently I bought the CD for nostalgic reasons. Been playing it every day! It is such amazing music, so timeless and uncategorizable. What I love is its gorgeous quirky weirdness.
