where's the rest? this is great!

I read his bio on Wiki...what a man, actor, artist, businessman & career!! I'd never heard of him until yesterday. He really was the creme de la creme in his day, every bit as famous as Fairbanks. I can only imagine how much more stratospheric his career would have been had he not turned down the starring role in the silent classic, "The Sheik", the film that eventually went to Valentino & made him into an icon.
Thanks for posting his work.
I want to see MORE!!!

The exact same thing happened to me. I had watched parts of other silent films on TMC, but this was the first one I watched all the way through.
I believe Mark Izu's modern score helped immensely. It was entirely captivating. Usually silent film scores sound dated and annoying. Izu helped make the film feel fresh and enhanced some of the beautiful cinematography.

Thanks. Mark is evaluating a new project to
compose scores for more classic Japanese silent films. Hopefully we'll be able to present other lost treasures of cinema to modern viewers.
