This is me "attempting" to speak German. I know I make tons of mistakes when I speak, so PLEASE PLEASE make comments on my pronunciation and grammar.

  • How long have you been studying German? Sorry I don't think I caught it in the video..

(And off the topic, for someone who was raised in Korea, your english is quite good as well!)

  • Haha.. I live in Korea now, but I've been in Sri Lanka for 7.5 years, studying in an international school. So I guess that explains my English. :)

I've been learning German for nearly 7 years now. Considering that, my speaking is quite tragic.. :(

  • Your pronunciation was clear enough that a beginner with less than 6 hours of study (that'd be me) was able to understand the first 2 minutes almost perfectly :D.

*browses the rest of your channel*

  • Really? That's quite encouraging to hear. But from many comments I've received, I was able to compose the following conclusion:

My German sounds foreign to Germans, but quite German to foreigners.

Oh, and may I ask, what did you think about my other videos? :-)

  • I think that in the moment for the video you had the same problem as me now because the fluency was slower, but i think that in this moment you speak better.

  • @etherealjiwon Dude buy the Pimsler Approch, all you have to do is listen to a cd and you'll learn the lang. it's like how a baby learns how to talk, by taking words from convos. and use them.

  • Daumen hoch!

  • You speak clearly. Germans have a tendency to run their words together quite fast. You are speaking slower than Germans and you have hesitation between your words. Aber Sie spricht

    gut Deutsch.

  • krasser aktzent x3

  • ich habe fast alles verstanden was du gesagt hat :) thumbs up! btw ich bin eine sri lankiiiiiii, :D und spreche auch nicht so gut deutsch :(

anyway viel glück mit deutsch lernen!!

  • I started learning German about one year ago. I speak Spanish as mother language. And I can understand every single word you say in this video very clearly.
