Poor Welsh, they should have won the final with the Czech team in their homeland. Hungary's best points were only 6. :-O The Czech team deserved the win after several 2nd places in that season. Portugal saved from the last place at the end...

@moussemouseful A strange final, as the strong teams of Pecs and Setubal, did badly, mind that Pecs won with the highest points score that year. Good battle between CZ and Wales. The Welsh were unlucky in the game with the shoes (in which GR bet on them too).

Other interesting facts:

- Pécs and Ceska Trebova were also rivals in Hungary

- the Czech and the Welsh teams reached higher points in the final then in their best round (maybe they inspired each other for better results)

And the Czech team was also bed once with their 4 points when Hungarian bet on them. The last game decided between GB and CZ (about 5 seconds). Once a Hungarian team lost the first place with only one point in 1996(?). This is worse than to be in the 3rd place.
