Happy birthday Fu Long!

August 23rd, 2008: Cute Panda Cub Fu Long celebrated his first birthday. Fu Long started his day with his favorite pastime: sleep, sleep, sleep. The Viennese Zoo threw a beautiful party for him and his fans. Fu Long woke up just in time before the celebration started. He was honored by the visit of the Chinese Ambassador who gave a really nice speech. Great that he took the time to be there! Chinese school kids performed gorgeous and colourful dances: "Dance for Good Luck" and "The dance of the Dragon". Finally Fu Long got a delicious birthday cake from his keepers. The keepers made the wondereful cake of ice, carrot juice and bamboo. Fu Long was tired and slept again and thus his mom Yang Yang took the opportunity and started to munch the tasty cake. I think she deserved part of the cake because she did a great job in nurturing Fu Long.
