Gorgeous, melodious opera by Rimksy-Korsakov, sung by gifted tenor Konstantin Lissovsky, and radiant Lyudmilla Sapegina. Lemeshev was an earlier, well-known and much beloved Levko.

Hanna is pleading with Levko, her sweetheart, to tell her the story of the haunted house on the lake and the drowned maiden who now haunts the lake with other forsaken, doomed young girls.
