Firefighter Fitness - Circuit Workout #15

Here's mhanson51 and a training partner performing a series of circuit style exercises. This is a bodyweight only circuit and works great if all you have at the fire house is a training partner and some floor space and want to get in a great workout during your downtime.

1st Exercise: Fireman's Carry Squats (30 sec.)
Break (15 sec.)
2nd Exercise: Alternating Arm Partner Body Rows (30 sec.)
Break (15 sec.)
3rd Exercise: "Around The World" Pushups/Partner Pushup Plank (30 sec.)
Break (15 sec.)
4th Exercise: Farmer's Carry Walk With Curl-Up (30 sec.)
Break (15 sec.)
5th Exercise: Ab Crunches Over Partner (30 sec.)
Break (15 sec.)
6th Exercise: Wheelbarrel Hops (30 sec.)
Break (15 sec.)
7th Exercise: Alternate Side Double Leg Pickups (30 sec.)

  • to be able to move and lift an unstable off balanced body.... you should use a real person to lift. Just like wrestling, but they are lifting a body that doesnt want to be lifted up. haha.

  • @solofly2sfc Because when going on calls we don't respond to barbells and dumbbells. So the better to the human body, the better it is. Unless you REALLY wanna be a homo about it.

  • @FutureFirefighter32 It's probably being used to keep their heart rates up, while still giving them a small break. I've seen it used in different circuit workouts.

  • I like the variety and functional applications of this workout. The only thing I would stress is that isn't for anyone to just pick up and start doing. It's an advanced workout. Add beginners to the mix and I see people getting dropped everywhere. Now that I mention it...that sounds hilarious :)
