Super Monkey Ball 2 Master Stages (part 1 of 3)

The master stages of Super Monkey Ball 2 are played, first surprisingly well, but then my concentration is lost and I start making many mistakes, especially master extra 10 where I made so many mistakes (some not entirely my fault - the camera). This video covers the entire master difficulty setting for challenge mode (of the main game), without cheats and is split into three parts.

The first part involves the first ten main stages of the master difficulty. Stage 1 is easy along with stage 2. I've never been able to figure out how to get the green goal in stage 2 though, at the other end. I've gotten as far as the center of the third spinning thing but the clock ran out before I could get to it. The third one, cylinders, is where I often lose half of the lives, but this case was a lucky streak. The first time I played it, with 99 monkeys, is when I had so much difficulty, I used up over 300 lives, in the form of 3 continues. Stage 4 was fairly easy and I occasionally miss it. Stage 5 is like stage 3, but somewhat easier, though I still went through close to 50 to 80 lives the first time I played it. Stage 6 is somewhat luck-based and I often lose about 3 to 10 lives. Stage 7 is similar to the dreaded stage 3 and more difficult than stage 5, and the first time I played master, this is where I used up all remaining continues and lives. The trickiest part is just getting started, but once I get on the thing, then my success rate is much higher. Stage 8 is based on timing - start moving full speed from the start at 59:50 and you'll make it. I only occasionally miss this one. Stage 9 is fairly easy as well, though it took me about 30 tries initially to figure out how it was done. Stage 10 is fairly easy, except getting on that last area with the goal. I first struggled on how to get to the goal.

I used to play a lot... until Disgaea took over pretty much everything. After all 2000 hours on 2 Disgaea games in under 21 months is something I've never seen in my 23+ years of playing video games, not even close.

Easy: unlock all 6 party games then, from there, continuously unlock the lives from the gift menu and it'll be a matter of time before you can start with 99 lives (shown as 98). I've had 101 lives once, via the expert course.

None. I never use emulators. I only use the real console (and a TV tuner for recording).

It's well hidden but once you find it, it's easy to get.

i have a good strategy for cylinders that makes me only lose about 2 lives and i skip the entire level.i go almost straight the whole time and hit a bump at the part where you choose which way to turn and land at the last cylinder.

I always found it easier to go for the other goal on stage 4.
