We went to feed some ducks at the park a few minutes from our house and we noticed a lot of exotic ducks were there, some banded. Muscovies, mallards, a wood duck, a mandarin duck, ringed teals, pintails and several species I have never even seen before.

@chumanho Sometimes it's just important to seem smart.

Thanks for the IDs, but how can you tell it's a lesser scaup? I found it very difficult if not impossible to tell between the greater and the lesser...

I can't believe how many different kinds of ducks geese and gulls you've got all in one place! :-)

Not so exotic. I recognize Fulvous Whistling Ducks, Wood duck male and female, N. Pintail male and female, Canvasback, Lesser Scaup (platypus) and a White-Fronted goose. All native. Seeing them together would cause quite a stir around here.
