Among the big three networks (NBC, ABC and CBS) 1968 -1969 was the last season for The Herculoids, Space Ghost, Birdman and the like (DC and Marvel superheroes too) complete with their screams, yells, energy ray zaps and loud explosions were pushed aside for feel good, silly, cutesy, fuzzy feeling, non/less-violent shows like The Archies, The Banna Splits, H.R. Pufnstuf and Scooby-Doo, Where Are You changed the Satuday morning landscape...oh well, I was a couple years from starting high school.
