  • Interrestingly on the pictures the archers turn the bow hand and the bow inverts instead of outverts, does anybody now why?

    Thank You!

Thats most probably artistic license. However that sort of depiction may also have mystic/spiritual meanings...

aha, thats interesting, saw this on few pictures before. Thank you!

  • Haha, no disrespect but in spanish 'puta' means whore. Haha, 'whore shooting' (:

  • awesome thank you so much! greetings from slava

  • ...These conditions do not allow to simulate the long range shooting but are better than shooting FITA targets in terms of "calibrating" our minds. In the summer we shoot at regular putas. Reviving the ceremonial aspects is another point that we should work on.

  • Thank you for your interest! Yes, we're intending to revive puta and other disciplines. The main problem is that we're practicing in an indoor range in entire year and our outdoor practice is limited (only in the summer). However, we made target faces that resemble a puta. They're propertionally resized for our 16 m shooting distance and we also have properly resized versions for 30 metres.

  • Excellent video Murat, sorry the trolls force you disable comments on at least one of your other ones.

I am longbow archer but have also been fascinated by the Eastern traditions as well.

Puta is a long range match indeed.

Are you planning to revive this?

  • It is nice to see how to revitalize some parts of tradition.Nice video Murat.
