Everything Must Change

Everything must change
Nothing stays the same
Everyone must change
No one stays the same

The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged

There are not many things in life
You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And hummingbirds do fly

Winter turns to spring
A wounded heart will heal
But never much too soon
Yes everything must change

The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged

There are not many things in life
You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And butterflies do fly

Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And music
And music
Makes me cry

  • Love James' voice, still I like Oleta's version better

  • @floramargarine I prefer Sarah Vaughan live version

  • THE most beautiful and definitive version of this song I have ever heard was a live performance by Steve Brookstein and his wife Eileen Brookstein. Unsurpassed, wish it was available on youtube

  • I have never heard this side of this song! my wife loved it to the bed were she raped meeeeee!!!!!!!!!.... PLEASE PLAY IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

  • James did a great job on Quincy's tune. Thank you for posting it!

  • True, everything must change except the Almighty!

  • @rq11us - Actually, Bernard Ighner wrote the song for that Album and did the vocals. Check the liner notes.

  • @L78lancer I don't want to change your opinion, and i didn't say you are negative or offensive. What i said is more like an advice than critique, and i know i might have been somehow harsh, but listening to this song and reading your comment at the same time made me think.I didnt select my words carefully and thoughtfully just because english is not my native language, forgive me that.Cheers ;)
