@peppoj yeah, but stays on the area for that purpouse ("Parking area" ?) you smart ass ;-) check, where that read/write heads was before start. So, bigest damage you did by your comment...

That power down procedure was a great example of what happens to your hard-drive when you turn of your computer by cutting the power, as you can see, the read/write head stays on the disk, which can damage it or corrupt your data. By shutting down your computer the proper way, AKA "Clicking Shutdown", the read/write head will "Park" itself to the side of the disk, and no damage is done.

I have a 400mb Conner hdd in my desktop currently :), I opened it up a while ago and took a vid but never posted it.
Since then it's been home to my pc's swapfile lol, and it's running fine!

Thanks for the info.. i was bout to try it but the other videos and yours said all the dust and dirt and stuff will get in it
